Glutamate Dehydrogenase

DESCRIPTION

Sunson’s Glutamate Dehydrogenase is produced by submerged fermentation of a finely selected microbial strain followed by separation, ultrafiltration and formulation. It finds significant application in the field of chiral L-amino acid asymmetric synthesis.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Glutamate Dehydrogenase catalyzes the reversible oxidation and deamination of glutamate to form α-ketoglutarate in the presence of NAD(P)+.

REACTION PARAMETERS

Temperature Range: 35-55°C

Optimum Temperature Range: 45-50°C

pH Range: 5.0-9.0

Optimum pH Range: 7.0-8.0

APPEARANCE

Brown to dark brown liquid. The color may vary slightly from batch to batch, Color intensity is not an indication of enzyme activity.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION

The recommended dosage is 0.1-1kg/t of raw material. The dosage has to be optimized based on real situation, the raw material specifications, product expectations and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the smallest quantity.
